Lawrence is a self-taught artist and oil painting coach whom I met in 2024 during a class where he was leading the session. His recent exhibition, A Dream of Time, was the result of five years of steady, introspective work.

“I’ve always wanted to explore my capabilities,” Lawrence told me. “And find what is the best way to articulate my story. When a story is spoken with authentic articulation, people are naturally drawn to it... we have always been a naturally storytelling species.”

These portraits are about the intersection of discipline and imagination — and what it means to build a language through paint.

Ioannis Panagiotidis

Musician

Ioannis is a London-based musician currently working on his first album — a fusion of Greek traditional sound and modern sensibility.

“Translating thoughts and feelings into sound has always been a liberating experience for me,” he says. “It’s like freeing a part of myself that can’t be expressed in any other possible way.”

Our session explored both quiet and intensity — an attempt to translate, visually, the same mix of heritage and experimentation present in his music.

Dalma Berger

Parfume maker

Dalma is the founder of The Armor Fragrances, an artisan perfume line built around memory, emotion, and invisible narrative. Photographing her was a layered, sensory experience.

“My relationship with scents began in childhood,” she shared, “shaped by vivid memories of the city and the women in my family, who never left home without wearing a fragrance that reflected their essence...”

From keeping a scent journal as a child to creating a line of expressive, poetic fragrances, her story is about nostalgia transformed into form. These portraits are a quiet celebration of that path — a study in softness, memory, and self-invention.

Yulia Shulga

Collage creator

Yulia is the Ukrainian collage artist whose practice began just months after Russia’s full-scale invasion.

“It was a way to cope with overwhelming emotions — the war, uncertainty, and worries for my family and homeland. Collaging gave me solitude and a creative outlet when everything else felt chaotic.”

Through cutting, arranging, and feeling textures, they discovered a language of resilience. Collage became both a game and a map: catching fragments of a broken world and piecing them into something whole, open to endless interpretations.

“One of the superpowers of collage is how it invites viewers to reflect and discover their own stories within it.”

A story of art as survival. Art as dialogue. Art as reimagining.

Veronika Greenhill

Bespoke tailor

Veronika Greenhill is a Ukrainian bespoke tailor based in London. After joining Savile Row as a coatmaker in the summer of 2025, she continues to refine her craft — a journey that began two years ago when she first immersed herself in the world of bespoke tailoring.
With a background in architecture and fine art, Veronika has spent the past eight years in the fashion industry. Yet, disillusioned by the industry’s tendency toward illusion and manipulation, she sought a more honest form of creative expression.
“Bespoke tailoring offered me a chance to truly deliver what I promise — a garment that speaks for itself. Quality, time, and craftsmanship are far more rewarding to me than any fleeting trends or commercial pursuits.”
Veronika’s work embodies precision, integrity, and artistry — each piece a quiet dialogue between structure, material, and human form.

Jonathan Berman

Conductor

Jonathan Berman is an internationally renowned conductor working with orchestras such as The Cleveland Orchestra and the London Philharmonic Orchestra. He is a specialist in the music from turn of centre Vienna and the Austro-Hungarian Empire, most notably in his complete symphony recordings of Franz Schmidt which “set new standards” and were called “phenomenal”, “best choice” and one of the most “Important orchestral recordings in the last 10 years”.

Whilst music is central to all his interests, Jonathan’s deep engagement with literature, visual art, theatre, film, and a particular fascination with other cultures, leads to constant questioning of the boundaries of classical music and feeds into the unique and creative ways in which he connects to his audiences. Conscious of the need to get to the heart of things, Jonathan is recognised for his thoughtfulness and insight.

“For me there is nothing magical about conducting, there is no wizardry or showmanship. It is about unlocking the code of each and every score I am lucky enough to perform or record. To this end I see myself as a craftsperson, translating dots and lines into sound - and to add depth and dimensionality to these translations (or interpretations if you prefer) through research. Research into composers, into music, but also into art, and literature, into history, into craft - into everything which results from human imagination.”
